At 5:31PM, a motion was made by Junot and seconded by Turner to enter into executive session to discuss Police and DPW Union negotiations.  Carried 7-0.

At 6:11PM, the meeting returned to regular session.

Present for Roll Call: Bausano, Harrell, Junot, Lanctot, Rastello, Turner and Zei.

Discussion on budget items took place.  The budget can be amended throughout the year as necessary by a council vote.  A motion was made by Rastello and seconded by Junot to approve all cuts on the proposed list, in the resulting reduction column, except the cleaning wages for the Village Hall and DPW and the MML dues.  The total amount of these cuts is $32,710.00.  Yes – Bausano, Harrell, Junot, Rastello, Turner and Zei.  No – Lanctot.  Carried 6-1.  (A copy of this list of cuts follows the minutes).  More cuts still need to be made to reach the target of $47,000.00.  Also, when line items are within 20% of their budgeted amounts, attention is needed on further spending.  Statements will be distributed monthly to the departments and council for their review.

The meeting adjourned at 7:05PM.

Respectfully submitted,
