Special Council Meeting

Tuesday, September 30, 2003

Present for Roll Call: Bausano, Harrell, Junot, Lanctot, Rastello, Turner and Zei.

Guests: Jon Koskiniemi, James Lemler, and Edward M. Vertin.

The meeting was called to order in the Village Council Chambers by President Harrell at 5:30PM.

The purpose of this special meeting was for a work session to discuss the finances of the village.

Income statements through August 2003 for all funds and several spreadsheets were presented to the council. Village Administrator Vertin reviewed the revenues in the General Fund and where these monies come from. Transfers between funds were also discussed. Police Chief Lemler expressed concerns about the police department budget.

Village Administrator Vertin is to work on projecting the revenues, especially the state shared revenues, for the Village’s next fiscal year. Another special meeting will be held after next month’s council meeting to continue the fiscal planning.

The meeting adjourned at 7:05PM.
